Dear Friends

We are offering you an opportunity of a day of
Creating your own
Mandala paintings
which will be inspired by using your voice in sacred chants.

Using ancient Sanskrit mantras and new chants, we will call upon sacred energies which serve to quiet the mind,
remove obstacles, and bring us back to the center of our being.
By repeating simple mantras, chanting is an easy way for people to experience some freedom
from the daily chatter of the mind and a way of re-connecting with our Higher Self.

Mandala means 'centre' and 'periphery' in Sanskrit.

Mandalas always have a central focal point from which elements of the image radiate.

They are found in nature and in the art of all cultures - rose windows found in medieval cathedrals,
Tibetan sandpainted and painted mandalas, Hindu Yantra diagrams, Navajo sand paintings, Islamic sacred geometry.

The western psychologist Jung viewed mandalas as a symbol of the self, the soul, going to the center.
They can also be used as a tool for contemplating some issue or wish in one's own life.

Mandala painting can help calm the thoughts and emotions
be a centreing and joyful experience help in healing, bringing a sense of wholeness
be a fulfilling way of self expression

During the day, Jason Schroeder and Claudia will guide you on your journey
by using the sound of Tibetan singing bowls, bells, shamanic drums and rattles as
ways of creating a sacred space for you to create your own healing mandalas.

Everyone is welcome
You don't have to be able to draw or paint to come on this mandala workshop, and all materials are provided.
The main aim is to express yourself rather than make a 'good' work of art.

Mandala & Chant Programme

We have been facilitating Transformational Workshops for several years now,
and this particular Workshop is a gentle and inspirational way of getting a deeper understanding of the Self.
We guide and support you in your journey and encourage you to express yourself creatively.

We are now taking bookings for this workshop which will be held on Sunday 13th April 2008
at the Tornaveen Hall, Tornaveen, Nr Torphins, Aberdeenshire.

The workshop will start at 10 am and will finish at 4.30 pm, and ask you to bring something for lunch to share.

The cost for the workshop is £ 45 per person, and to reserve your space, a £ 20 deposit is required.

Cheques should be made out to Claudia van Amelsvoort,
or you can pay the deposit in cash if you attend the Circle of One Gathering on the 21st March.
