Suns of MAC

A Gathering for Men

The name for the group of men came to me after working with a group of confrontational teenagers in Aberdeen, late one night. In some beliefs the male is represented by the sun. We are also living in Scotland although many of us are not Scottish, I feel the connection to the culture and the land and the word Mac means 'son of'. So on one level this means we carry the potential within us to be the light (sun) of 'the son of '.... your family.
Also what came was that MAC can also stand for Men Accepting Child. There is a deep inner need to accept the boy that is living within us, that has never been acknowledged and recognised in becoming the man that you now are.

The logo above is also multi layered in meaning.
