SACRED WAY Loanhead Stone Circle
Looking over the 'Recumbent' towards New Craig circle which is in the distant trees Cairn in foreground with Flankers and Recumbent (looking South West)
Five thousand year old Stone circle with central ring cairn. The cairns would have been added long after the circle was completed. Cremation cemetery where beakers (urns) containing cremated remains were found in different cardinal directions. A total of thirty one people including eight children. A partially cremated man holding a pendent was found in the middle.
