Drum 1 - 14 inch Octagonal

14 Inch Roe Deer and Cedar Octagonal Drum with Triskellion / triple spiral symbol on inner leather handle. Symbol is burnt into the leather.

Drum 2 - 15 inch Octagonal

15 inch RED Deer STAG and Cedar Octagonal Drum. This is a very thick skin. The centre piece and all the lacings are all from this magnificient animal.

All Sacred Way Drums are made by myself Jason Schroeder and Richard Kent .

Richard is a wood craftsmen and hand makes all our drum frames. He uses different types of wood from hard ash to the softer and lighter cedar. All our drum frames are biscuit jointed for extra strength. To read more about Richard's personal journey in drum making click here : Richard

I work with the skins, from skinning, cleaning, making the rawhide, assembling the drums and all other leather work creations. We use local Scottish roe and red deer for all our drums. No two drums are ever the same and we leave the skins with their own special patterns that were part of the animals life story in the Scottish forests and hills.
