How are you celebrating Summer Solstice?

In our part of the world it was raining and grey and no sign of the sun, so we
went inside the GrandMother Sweat Lodge to connect and honour
the GrandFather Sun and the 'Stone people'!
Happy Summer everybody, may 'you' shine no matter what the weather is doing!

Winter Solstice Ceremony 2007

On a very cold mid winters day we invoked the 7 powers ,
lit the central fire in the circle
and sent prayers of love, joy, compassion & peace
to all be-ings that exist in the 3 world cosmology!

MAY PEACE BE RESTORED TO OUR EARTH AND IN THE MINDS AND HEARTS OF ALL!

The Tibetan Monks of Drepung Monastery at Breemie
12/12/07

The Drepung Lubum Monastery, now in refuge in Southern India,
has been famous throughout the centuries for its Tibetan saints and scholars.
On a world tour, the Tibetan Monks from Drepung Lubum Monastery presented an evening of cultural performance
in Banchory village hall to a sell out audience
featuring a demonstration of meditation, Tantric chanting and sacred masks dance, rarely witnessed in the West.

We asked the monks if they would come to Breemie and do Ceremony
and prayers in the circle for all of us.

A very cold day with a strong wind carried the trumpets, smoke and prayers
to all the sacred directions. It reminded them very much of Tibet.

They also walked and danced the Labyrinth before the ceremony in the circle!

A BIG THANK YOU to the monks for sharing their wisdom, prayers and culture with us
and all those who supported them at Shambala and
on the night, to make it the most prosperous performance on their tour to date!
Many hugs, prayers, smiles and thank you's were shared by all and we were sad to see
these beautiful human beings leave our cold and windy shores to return to their
monastery in hot Southern India.

So a blessed and wonderful Way to end off the year!
