1970's.".The Squibs"...a kind of new wave indie band...a favourite of John Peels...released several singles on Aberdeens first independant record label..Oily Records....1980's..."The 30 Footers" An astral reggea band from another dimension...ended up in London signed to an African record company based in Brixton...evaporated in a
Spinal Tap dance...across well charted territory.....1990's "The Old Blind Dogs"....spent most of this decade recording and touring with this excellent band but had to give up ,the old walkies, due to very sore paws.....

Produced several cd's for other artists, Green's "Found on the wave", Ian F Benzie"I's B'y..Have one solo album "Dancing in the Shadows" and one with The Pictones called Jellytown...Have also written music for theater
productions....including "Atomic City" for Greycoast theater company....Have also played drums and percussion on many albums...including..Bachue, Annie Grace,Sharon Hassan, Jonny Hardie, Gavin Marwick....These day's Davie is working with many different people...playing the odd drum kit...for varietarious situations...The Pictones still do the odd gig..most of them now living in Edinburgh. ...Aly Salam on drums...Greame Stephen....on guitar...Vicky Fifield on fiddle..

Last year he was working with some young singer songwriters in a band called "The Shameless". Who performed for us at Breemie '05. The core of this band is really "The Simon Gall Band"...Mixed up with a pinch of the Pictones..namely Mickey Rae, on the bass....Stevie Crawford, Simon Gall and myself pen the songs...we are joined by Martin Allen who's voice completes that big harmony bling......

But this year Davie is on his own
or who knows who might be a surprise guest on the night!
