Paul Anderson first took up the fiddle at the age of nine and was taught by Andy Linklater. Pauls love for
Scottish fiddle music led him to join the Banchory Strathspey and Reel Society.
He was originally taught there by Angus Shaw and soon moved on to study with Douglas Lawrence, Hector McAndrew's greatest pupil.
Paul is in very high demand all over the island and by 'co-incidence' happened to be available for us at the Breemie Festival.
I heard him play recently, and his own composition called 'Tomneverie', which he was inspired to write after visiting the stone circle at Tarland was just awsome! So good to have him there to get us in the mood for a party!
