"Thank you for
that"
I sang a song in Birse,
Thank you for that,
Black and white shoots and roots merging with me,
Trees,
Forest folkies,
Eyes in the leaves,
Eyes in the ground,
Eyes in the branches,
Eyes all around.
Massive stone men marching up the hill on their side and in the
river
with trees as hats.
The ancient stone faces half buried,
Magikal spells passed on through time,
Look to the riverbank... dinosaur spine.
Creature fossilised eating skulls,
Long time gone alien visitors on earthly culls.
Ancient stone carvings of eastern flavour,
Memories set to show their behaviour.
Talked to the stone man and his hoards of fern warriors.
Phone my brother,
Phone Graham Hankock,
You've got to come and see this ...giants causeway.
There was a man Biti-Folki,
Looking back as Iremember,
As Ilay on the talking stone faces,
As the magic was passed on down through the ages.
Stay still become part of the forest,
See.. there is more to this world than human.
I sang a song in Birse,
"Thank you for that",
Tree shoots and roots merging exchanging,
The smell of freshness,
My friend the scots pine.
Dance and chant at the base,
Chant a rythym,
Create a space,
For shamanic work to be carried out,
And it did work without a doubt.

Breemie Begins
In a secret pocket
Not so far away
Yet open to the world
To come and play
A number of shadows
Fall still on the land
And silently fall
At each days end
The enchantment of secrets
Entice curious minds
The magic lays silent
Many years on end
Until the time comes around
When a circle of friends
Shape plans and ideas
That openly shine
And so on this day
Of opening skies
On the night of curious
Thunder and winds
They brought there to silence
A warm glow of life
They say this was when
Breemie begins
There were labyrinths of stone
And spirals of fire
And costumes and drums
Beating waves of desire
And music shared gladly
With earth and with night
The skies and the hills
Rumbled hungry delight
As day yawns and sighs
Melodies close sleepy eyes
And fingers on drums
Just an echo of times
The cradling hills Rock hush in the night
And the soundest of sleeps
Passed through with delight
For myself I stand proud
For myself I stand tall
And gladly declare I was part of it all
And on the highest place
I gave it all that I can
And to earth and to heavens
Full hearted I sang
For that's all that I needed
Right there on that day
With my family and friends
And guitar to play
But I couldn't have done this
No not on my own
So thank you forever

Breemie
Long Sought
Sun-kissed, the time was spent in play
Amid the myriad, labarynthine
ways,
When doubts fell, washed from
mind, midst tears,
To share in wisdoms, unburdened
of fears.
And dressed in musics, learnings
and sights
The humans emerged with brightness
and light,
To be blessed by powers of
heaven and earth
Life's appreciation, gratitude,
danced with mirth.
And though the shadow again,
conspires to hide,
The memory will, long-long
abide
Of a time of folk, not unlike
me,
Who gathered with joy and
knew to be.
A day that never could be
bought,
A day of release of the heart,
Long sought.

STONE CIRCLES
Stones
Rocks
Boulders of time
Do you hold
Secrets of the Divine?
In a land of rolling hills
With no paved road
To carry them on
Men and women like ourselves
Walked through bog and thorn
Lost to us
Is the memory why
They erected these great stones
Upon the sky
What feats of construction
Brought these rocks to rest
We can but only imagine.
Tides of time have dashed
The mystery against this rock
Dispersed to the depths
In ocean graves it may yet rot
We attempt to divine
The whys, the hows, the when
Suggesting beliefs, we cannot know
Not now, not then.
For what feel have we
Of the work coarse hands
That chose these rocks to be?
Through what eyes
Do we attempt to envision
Their canvas of skies?
For we look
From a world that's round
Ever spinning
With space beyond unbound
The eyes that conceived these
stones
Had their place within the land
Were rooted deep
Not for them our shifting sand
Calendrical systems
Hold not the weight
Of these great rocks
Being reduced to mere clocks
In a life so governed by the
land
I would worship
The sun and moon
With an even hand
A system of thought
We are no longer taught
Lost to the ocean of time
Is lapping at the edges of my mind
We so love to explain
To find meaning
Scientific gain
Is it not enough?
In the sunlight, they shine
In the moonlight, they glow
Embraced by the present
I let my memory go
What I feel now
Not what they felt then
Should be expressed though
The wanderings of my pen
A radiance
A glow
An energy against my skin
That draws me in
A focus
A lens through which at last
I see the land
An embrace from a Divine hand
A sense of connection
A bridge across the ocean
A belief that I belong
Not an invader doing wrong
A sense of sharing
A sense of caring
For the land
I stand firm on this sand
A line unbroken
Reaches out to me
A circle of stone
Across the endless cresting foam
Willing me to pass it on
To those that lie in sand
Without form
As yet unborn.
To celebrate life and death
I want a place that I call home
What could be more all embracing
Than this rough-hewn circle of stone?
